RT Searcher

RT Searcher is a PHP script written to augment the rt2mei script written by Wooders. Ok some background then:

Topfield make a wonderful FreeView digital receiver called the TF5800 PVR. It has twin tuners which means you can record up to two channels while watching a third or simultaneously viewing a previous recording. It stores over 100hrs of footage. There are a number of different programs or TAPs which have been built by Toppy users which can run on the 5800 providing anything from games to complete replacement interfaces for the machine.

One such interface is call MyStuff. MyStuff takes its programme information from external sources so you can download data from the Radio Times website, however MyStuff currently has a limitation in that it can only search within programme titles. Searching enables you to leave the 5800 to record matching programmes indefinitely so you can get it to record a whole series of a show for instance. Wooders' rt2mei script downloads the data from the Radio Times website and formats it for use within MyStuff.

RT Searcher is an unsanctioned modification or 'hack' of Wooders' script. It provides the ability to place keywords of your choosing into programme titles making it searchable with MyStuff. It adds film ratings and certificates to films and provides the ability to exclude specific episodes of serials from being recorded. It also allows the user to replace text with words of their choosing throughout.
